When is the Troy Strawberry Festival?

              The festival is always held on the first full weekend in June.

 

What are the hours of operation?

              Saturday June 2nd:      10:00am-9:00pm

              Sunday June 3rd:          10:00am-6:00pm

 

What is the cost of admission?

              Admission is FREE to everyone

 

What are the directions to the Troy Strawberry Festival?

 

From the North:
Take I-75 South. The Troy Exits beginning with Exit # 73

From the South:
Take I-75 North. The Troy Exits beginning with Exit # 69

From the East:
Travel I-70 West to I-75 North

From the West:
Travel I-70 East to I-75 North

Note:  West Main Street is currently under construction.  Alternative routes are advised. 

 

 

Where do I park?

The Festival offers FREE PARKING AND FREE SHUTTLE SERVICE to the festival site from parking areas located off I-75 at the following exits that will drop you off directly at the festival:

Take I-75 to Exit 78   Follow the signs to the shuttles

                            

If you do not wish to take a shuttle to the festival you can look for street parking but this is extremely limited and fills up quickly with volunteers and vendors.

                             Saturday, June 3rd:      9:00am-9:30pm

                             Sunday, June 4th:         9:00am-7:00pm

 

Where is the festival LOCATION?

Strawberry Festival, we will be located on both the Great Miami River Levee and the DOWNTOWN STREETS of Troy, Ohio.  The festival footprint will stretch along our Square on Main Street from the Plum to Mulberry Street, and on Market Street from Water Street to Franklin Street. 

 

Shuttle drop off is at the Miami County Courthouse

Where can I stay overnight?

What kind of weather should I plan for?

June weather in Ohio can vary but it usually beautiful! In June you should plan for warmer temperatures.  The high on festival weekend has reached the lower 90’s in past years.  This is a moderate season for precipitation, so be prepared for the possible rain shower.

 

Is there a rain contingency plan for the festival?

No, the festival will be held rain or shine unless there is inclement weather that causes cancelation. This is determined by the Troy Fire and Police Department.

 

Does the Troy Strawberry Festival sell alcoholic beverages?

The Strawberry Festival venue is within the DORA (Designated Outdoor Refreshment Area).  In addition, the a temporary DORA has been activated on the levee for the festival. 

 

Patrons can purchase alcoholic beverages from licensed vendors.

There will be a beer truck on the levee near the Levee State.

Are dogs allowed at festival?

Due to safety concerns for both your dog and all festival visitors, bringing any animal to the Festival is NOT recommended (service animals only please).  If you choose to bring a dog to the festival, it must be leashed and under control.  

 

What else is prohibited on the festival grounds?

There are certain items that are not permitted on the Festival site.  Festival organizers reserve the right to alter carry-in policies at any time. Currently, these items include, but are not limited to:

              Alcohol not purchased from an approved DORA licensed establishment

              Weapons

              Bikes 

              Inline skates

              Skateboards

              Electric Scooters

 

Where is the information booth located in the festival grounds?

              We will have 2 information booths

                             One on the levee in the gazebo near the center of the levee

                             One in front of the fountain facing West Main Street

 

 

What happens if I need medical attention?

If you need medical attention while visiting the Troy Strawberry Festival we have on-sight police and fire headquarters with trained EMT’s.  Please go to the information booth if you are experiences Health Issues and they will retrieve help.

Who is performing at this years’ festival?  

The Troy Strawberry Festival has a variety of local performers.  We will have 3 stages this year. The Levee and Community Stage are located on the river levee and the other is located downtown on Prouty Plaza.

 

 

Are there designated resting areas?

There will be a designated Rest and Relaxation area during the festival located on Prouty Plaza (downtown) with tables, chairs including rocking chairs and a dining tent. There are also placed public benches and a dining tent on the levee.

 

Where are the restrooms located?

Restrooms will spread out across the festival for public access. These locations include: 

            South Cherry St

            North Walnut Street

            West end of the Troy Memorial Stadium. (near the scoreboard)

            Under the South side of Troy Memorial Stadium 

 

 

Are there activities for children?

Yes, there are many activities for children of ALL ages!  On Friday night we will have food, face painting and balloons along with a band on Prouty Plaza. On Saturday and Sunday the festival hosts a Pie Eating contest, a Shortcake run and Super Kids competition.  

 

How do I participate in all the events hosted by the Strawberry Festival?

Good advice for first time festival goers:

              Dress in comfortable, light-weight clothing

              Bring sunscreen, sunglasses, hat or visor, and wear comfortable shoes

              Be prepared for any type of weather! The Troy Strawberry Festival takes place in both rain or shine and                         will only be stopped if severe weather threatens.

              Drink plenty of fluids to stay hydrated

              Always carry an ID, important phone numbers, and any pertinent medical information in case of an                                 emergency.

              Have fun, and eat lots of strawberries!

 

 

Are there ATM’s available?

There will be 8- ATM’s available throughout the festival site.  Visit the information booth for location and directions.

 

Is there a lost and found on site?

During the festival the lost and found booth is also the information booth which is located in front of the fountain facing West Main Street.

After the festival all lost and found items will be held in the Troy Strawberry Festival office for up to thirty (30) days, after which these items will be discarded.  The Festival office is located at 405 SW Public Square, Suite 330, Troy, OH 45373.

 

Is the festival accessible to people with disabilities?

              Yes, the Troy Strawberry Festival and City of Troy is fully accessible.

 

What sort of food and drink will be available at the Troy Strawberry Festival?

The Troy Strawberry Festival prides itself on the variety of food that is available and provided by our local Miami County Not-for-Profit clubs and organizations.  We have many strawberry treats such as our famous Strawberry Donuts, Deep Fried Strawberries, Strawberry Salsa, and much more!  We also have your festival food including Texas Tenderloins, Blooming Onions, Hamburgers, Sausages, and even Cajun cuisine!

 

Where are the donuts located?

During the festival, strawberry donuts will be sold on the visitor’s side of the Troy Memorial Stadium (closest to the levee). Donuts are $15 a dozen. They sell Saturday 6:00AM-11:00PM and Sunday 6:00AM-6:00PM.

What souvenirs are available at the Troy Strawberry Festival?

The festival will have souvenirs with not only the Troy Strawberry Festival logo but the 2024 Berries Rock logo as well! Come stash up on berry themed items, children’s theme berry bags, t-shirts, shot glasses, tote bags, lapel pins, magnets, and much more!

 

Does the festival have a parade?

No, there will not be a parade this year.  There has not been a parade since 2013.
